Living Water

"If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him and He would have given you living water."...
.
"Whoever drinks of this water (from the well) will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life."
.
"For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."
.
"The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life. "
.
LORD, i am thirsty.......

When he says "whoever drinks of my water will never thirst again", do you think we have to keep drinking so that the fountain doesn't dry up?

It seems like a catch 22. I just assume He means drinking like the Holy Spirit, but then I feel like it should be a continual thing. IDK, LOL, OMG.

If everyone kept drinking, don't you think it would be more likely to dry up?

Maybe we should ration it...sort of like when you were in line at the water fountain in grade school..."Come on, save some for the fish!!!"

Maybe we could say that everybody gets three big gulps each, then has to go to the end of the line.

But then, maybe we are stretching the metaphor too far.
